Disney Spirit Animal

I was asked why my Disney spirit animal was and my first thought was Spike from Land Before Time (but that was a Universal Pictures movie). Then I thought of Merlin as a squirrel in The Sword In The Stone. I took the laugher of those around me as a sign of agreement.

Merlin as the squirrel somewhat helpless and bumbling as he attempts to share an experience that will help

someone else but he appears to be oblivious of the discomfort of the one he is trying to teach. He tries to convince another he is not what he appears to be. And when he is finally does reveal his true self others are hurt, angry, and fearful.

After some more thought I think it is more accurate to say Bagheera from The Jungle Book. The protective, loyal, restrained by a feeling of dignity but sometimes lets his guard down and has fun with his friends.

This my be the difference between my perceived self and my ideal self. I want to be brave and protect those around me. I want to be able to let loose and have friends to be around me. I may be thinking about this too concretely and the spirit animal doesn't have to be an animal at all but just a Disney charter. A spirit animal is there to guild and strengthen. I can safely said I would rather follow the path of a panther than a squirrel.
